TED Talks [3]
I've been a huge fan of Imogen Heap since I was 16. Her music takes me to this place that is calm and soothing. I don't have to think. I can just chill. I can just exist. I'm really glad she played her "stripped" down version of this song. I like this song to begin with, but the "acoustic" version I guess you could call it makes it really real and I like that about Imogen Heap.

4 a.m. That dreaded time between 3 a.m. (which is a time that no one really thinks about because it's not that big of a deal) and 5 a.m., when the sun rises. I've been up at 4 a.m. quite a few times in the two weeks. It's a funny time. I don't think I'm ever really fully awake, because I wish I was sleeping, but I AM awake. Which sucks. I also think it's funny that everyone sings about 4 a.m. Why isn't 3 a.m ever talked about in songs? 5 a.m.? Is there really something THAT unpleasant about the number four? Based on all the evidence Rives gave us, I guess so. Click here to watch Rives' talk.

TED Talks [1]
Paul Bennett talks about how small solutions make a big difference. He uses the example of how to improve the patient's experience at a hospital. The client wanted to go all out and basically change the world, but by showing them a 6 minute video of looking at a ceiling, the design firm reminded them how the small things, like decorating the border of the ceiling, or putting a rear-view mirror on the gurneys so the patient can have a conversation with the nurse, could make a big difference.
